A Franco-Caiiadian commercial contention has been signed. It is oi indefinite duration, but is terminable at .-i\ months’ notice. Franco grants Canada a. minimum ti riff on 128 items, and on other items accords her favourable treatment, similar to that granted the United States. In the case of French colonies with their own tariffs Canada is to receive most favoured nation treatment. Canada grants Franco the Canadian intermediate tariff and most favoured lotion treatment generally.
