AN AMERICAN OPINION ON PROHIBITION.
“ A bastard Americanism came upon U 3 in wartime. During those terrible days, when the cream of mankind were cut fighting for the liberty of the world, a race of men I will classify as the ‘ Blue Sneaks ’ took advantage of the opportunity to force their narrow ur. constitutional laws upon America. Of such was born the Volstead Act. I have never met a true American who did not believo enforced prohibition unconstitutional. The ‘ Blue Sneaks ’ have made a paradox of tho constitution. The latter day amendments ere slowly denying and making invalid tho Great Declaration of Independence. There is one law for men and women— Liberty I We are born with the love of freedom, and the laws of the State are made to keep intact the natural endowments of men.” VOTE FOR STATE CONTROL. 902
