Clark, independent Reform candidate for Dunedin North, addressed the. electors to-night, receiving a good hearing. While’ supporting the Reform Party against either of the other two parties as at present constituted, ho reserved ihc right to vote as he thought best. He was not opposed to the inauguration of a State bank if a scheme based on sound financial lines, managed on proper business methods and. free from political control, was propounded. 110 was a strong supporter of the Arbi- , tration Court and advocated co-part-nership as a solution for industrial problems’. The Hon D. Buddo addressed a largo meeting at the Rangiora Institute Hall ast evening, and had a good reception. Hie deputy Mayor. Mr ( . J. Jennings, presided. When replying to questions Mi Buddo was asked whether Air Jones’s claim that lie had rendered more effective service for the electors the Kaiapoi district during his three rears of office than was accomplished In the previous twenty years was based >i fact or not.
