The Otago Association wrote confirming ' « the dates for the Otago-Canterbury mated j —January 26. 27 and 20, or January 27, : , *2!> and 3(>. Jt was decided to accept the first-mentioned dates. , The New Zealand Council advised that ._ | Lancaster Park had been granted f<*r the second test match. J 5 The chairman said he would like to T 1 see a team go if possible, but the aeaocia- h tion was going to have a hard struggle s not to show a. very bad loss this year. ? It was decided that the match be played, - providing a team willing to pay its own expenses could be arranged. Messrs Wess ton. King and Smith were appointed se- j - lectors. 3 Application was made on behalf of ’he . Boys' Cricket Association for a wicket at Lancaster Park on January 1 and 2. *or . a game against a City and Suburban team. The matter was left in the hands of the chairman to interview the secretary cf the association, the meeting being rf ; opinion that the dates were not suitable i. in view of the Canterbury-Auckland match. _ believing that- the boys would profit more ‘ by viewing the representative game. Mr Ward reported that the Technical College Hoard of Governors had forward- ’ ed a donation of £.5 5s to the coaching f fund, and that he hail sent a letter -if thanks to the board
