WELLINGTON BURGLARIES.
(Pf.r Press Association.) WELLINGTON, November 9. Daring burglaries have been reported Lo the police. In one case the thieve* got away with £450 worth of goods. The first occurred some days back, Messrs Whitehead and Pears, drapers, losing £l5O worth of stock. In the second case the premises of Hayward’s, Ltd., ladies’ tailors, Lambton Quay, were broken into and £4OO worth ol stock stolen. The burglars entered Messrs Hayward’s by coming down Irom a terrace overlooking the rear or the shop. They took out. a whole fan light, and removed costly bead bag-, imported French cloths and silk wear of various descriptions. This is the second time Hayward’s premises have been broken into.
