GYMNASIUM SEASON. I The winter season of the Y.M.C.A. Phy- | sical Department was closed on Saturday ov< ning when about eighty guests aasemi bled at supper. C. 11. Bascand ; and L. Goeney. The toast of the lady members of the class was responded to by Miss Mays. A number of trophies were presented by 11 rs Green to winners in class work, indoor games and out-of-door competitions. CYCLING. An amateur cycling club has been formed by members of the association with Mr R. Moore as road captain and •Messrs Ross Bennetts and Moore as joint secretaries. A series of early-morning rides have been arranged and other club outings will be organised. LAWN TENNIS. The opening of the Tennis flub is to take place on Saturday next, when members will gather together with their lady friends. The president of the association Mr A. Burrows, will declare the courts
