The Coal Tribunal lias commenced the hearing of the claim of the colliery proprietors for a 33 1-3 per cent reduction in the lieu ing rate and altered working conditions. The men’s representatives strongly objected to the application being heard before the southern miners’ claims were decided. It is stated that the men are willing to return to work on the terms and conditions of the award
