Salt was elected secretary in place of Mr O. Smith, Mr Smith having been elected chairman. NON-ATTENDANCE AT DRILL. Eric Sodersten was charged s with failing to attend drill. The police stated that there had been thirteen parades and defendant had attended only six. Sodersten stated that he was nine--1 teen years of age. He was working on the wharf, and every time he had failf ed to attend when working he had sent along a note to the Defence Department, except on two occasions.
