VANITY FAIR
Last evening, in the Methodist Schoolroom, Brougham Street, Mr U. Holland, C.B.E-, opened a Vanity Fair and bazaar in aid of the church funds. The hall and side rooms were all beautifully decorated and fitted with stalls and side shows. The accommodation was crowded throughout the evening with eager buyers and sightseers, and brisk business was done. The following were the stallholders:— Fancy work, Mesdames M’Cleliand and Middleton and Miss Berry; pLain sewing. Mesdames Rawlinson. Maddien, Wear and Miss Hitchens ; cakes, Misses Jvay and Storey; curios. Mi Rawlinson ; groceries, Mrs M’Oaughern and Miss Hilleua ; aprons, Mrs Turner. Misses Straw and Davies; baby's clothing. Mesdames Mitchell and Wright and Miss E. Penny ; handkerchiefs. Misses Simpson and Hook; tea. rooms, Mesdames Hayes and Stephens, Misses Early and Curwin; ice creams Jack Bomb nu.cjj Roy Wear; art gallery. Nellie Turner and Edna Fisher; dips. Eileen Mitchell and Rhoda Henslev; plants and flowers. Mr R. Wright ; sweets, Misses Kay and Penny. The lair will be continued this afternoon and evening.
