Le “ Five O’Clock.
Savouries for the “ five o’clock ” have taken the place of sweet cakes, and the petits fours in the affection* of the fashion a bio Paris hostess and her visitors. There are little pyramids of cheese straws, on the daintiest of lace d’oyleys and there are sandwiches made of two water biscuits filled with cream cheese and cayenne. Perhaps the greatest favourite of nil is the “sandwich anglais.” which we know* so well as ham or cress, or egg sandwich.
