MR KIPLING’S DENIAL.

Mrs Clare Sheridan, lias telegraphed to the “Daily Herald” from Constantinople that she told Mr Rudyard Kipling she was writing for the “ New York World.” “He did not say he was talking confidentially,” she said. " I regret he objects to the publication of liis views. No doubt the female species are more deadly than the male.” The “New York World” published what the writer stated was an interview with Air Rudyard Kipling, win* was quoted as saying: “The United States entered the war two years seven months and four days late, forced a premature peace, and quit on Armistice Day without waiting to see the thing through ; also that “ The Americans have all the gold in the world, but the Allies have saved their soulsThe real America died in 1860.” Mr Rudyard Kinling. in a message to “ The Times.” flatly denied that he gave an interview to Mrs Clare Sheridan or to the “ New York World,” or that he said a single one of the remarks about America attributed to him in that journal.
