The forty-third anniversary of the Sydenham Baptist Sunday School ■will he celebrated to-morrow. The services will be conducted -by 'Mr J. Voss, Rev X. L. Webster, 8.A., and Rev J. K. Archer. Advice received from the Education Department lo the effect that buikh'ngs maintenance grants would be reduced by about J 0 per cent was communicated to the Canterbury Education Board yesterday bv the report of the Buildings Committee. Mr E. H. Andrews stated this would mean a reduction of about £lßdO on the board's annual allowance.
