PROPOSED DAIRY POOL
♦ LEGISLATION ASKED FOR. (Special to the Star.’’) WELLINGTON, September 15. Following on a meeting held in Wellington yesterday, a deputation waited on the Prime Minister and the Minister for Agriculture to-day and discussed with them the decisiou to ask for legislation for the formation of a dairy pool. Subsequently it was learned tbat the deputation submitted general proposals and that more definite suggestions will be brought forward in a day or two. I’n-il the matter is further explained, it is understood that the Government will not commit itself, though it is believed that what has been asked for so far is not regarded as unreasonable.
