MR W. STRINGLEMAN. district traffic manager of railways at Christchurch, will retire from the service on October l, having reached the age limit. Mr Stringleman has been 11 I\2 years in Hie railway service, and hap held his present position for the last fourteen years. With the exception of a few years in the North Island he has served continuously in tho South Island.
