The Christchurch Starr-Bowkett Building Society held a meeting last evening in the Chamber of Commerce for the purpose of disposing of two appropriations of £IOOO each in Group No. 1, one by ballot and one by sale. , The ballot fell to ball 154, the shares in the cluster being held by three mem- j bers. The .sale resulted in £SOO being I sold at a premium of £45 and £SOO J at a premium of £42 10s per £IOO.
