Hundreds of people assembled at Heieford for the sale of furniture k. the late Major Armstrong’s home. Armstrong, a country solicitor, was recently executed for the murder of liis wife, whom iie poisoned. Many of those present were obviously iitmting for souvenirs of his crime. Those who could not afford to buy articles dug dandelions from the garden or plucked autumn leaves from the creepers covering the house. The proceeds of the sale are for the benefit of Armstrong’s child-
