The New Zealand Association forwarded instructions and Information regarding th«' visit of the Australian team, which is as fellows:—Backs, IF. Flockart. C. Harry, K. May. J. M. Abel. P. R. Freeman. K. Fldcr. F. Campbell. C. Ayling; forwards, M. Kendall. < . Harwood. K. Hughes. A. Craig. S. Muklin, W. Bothwell, W. Grant and C. Seaman. The Otago Association wrote stating that all arrangements were in hand for the visit of the two schools’ teams on September 0. The Ladies’ Association made a verbal application for a ground on Saturday next for the Napier v. Canterbury match. The matter was left to tiie Grounds Committee. The various sub-committees dealing with the match against the Australian team reported that all arrangements were wcl! in hand. The following teams will play in the trial match at Lancaster Park on Saturday. at 1-10 p.m. : A Team—Goal. A. Cameron: backs. IT. Grose and V. Cameron: halves: -T. Pascoe, C. Butterfield and A. The Australian hockey team were accorded a civic welcome. Mr Bothwell. manager, in reply said that he hoped the visit of the Australians would be the forerunner of an interchange of visits. The match against Nelson takes place to-morrow afternoon.
