PRISONER SPEEDILY RECAPTURED. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, August 22. James Harold O’Brien, a prisoner \t Mount Eden Gaol, attempted to emeupe while working in the quarries. Two warders gave clia?e as O’Brien disappeared over a bank. He was recaptured about 200 yards from the prison ground, after being twice fired upon, as lie refused to halt when challenged. He was brought before Mr Boynton, S.M.. and ordered fourteen days’ bread pnd water.
