WOMAN’S CLAIM SUCCEEDS, (Pbr Pub ss Association.) WELLINGTON. August 3. In the Magistrate’s Court to-day judgraent was given against the Wellington Racing Club for £3O with costs £9 13s in the case in which a woman claimed £4o for the loss of a fur stole deposited with the attendant of the ladies’ cloak room during a. recent race ?neeting. The stole had been wrapped in a bundle of coats but when the bundle was opened later it was missing. The magistrate held that want of care was shown by the attendant and the club was liable for the loss.
