The subject of wireless broadcasting wa6 introduced at last evening’s meeting of the executive of the Canter bur' Progress League by Mr J. E. Strachan, who urged that the league should take up the matter of endeavouring to bring about the relaxing of the restrictions on amateur wireless operators at present imposed by the Government. Mr Strachan mentioned that the matter had already been taken up in other countries, where it had proved of great advantage to people in the country districts. There was only one difficulty in the way of wireless broadcasting iu New Zealand and that was the law. and ho thought that if an influential body like the Progress League took the matter up some p;ood would result. At the suggestion of other members of the league Mr Strachan undertook to furnish a report on the subject for the next meeting
