July 28. 1 he Coroner found that David King was accidentally killed through being kicked by a horse. A brother of deceased said that he considered it was a case of murder, his opinion being formed by the surrounding circumstances. On July 7 last the body of David King, a farmer, of Branxton, was found near his farm, partly burnt. There were two wounds on the lead, and the skull was fractured. Itf was surmised that King was murdered by being hit on the head with the swinglebar of his “turn-out,” which he employed in dragging timber to a fire on his farm.
