ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
A DUNEDIN SUICIDE. (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN. July 28. The inquest was concluded this morning on the death of Thomas Edgar Clarke aged forty, who was found dead in bed on Monday. The evidence showed that he suffered from illness and depression. and that gas poisoning caused tfeath. The Coroner found that deceased committed suicide while in a. state of mental depression, the cause of death being asphyxia, following coal gas poisoning. CYCLIST INJURED. A youth named AV. Scott, who is employed as a litter’s apprentice at the Addington Workshops, whilst cycling through Tlagley Park last night collided with another cyclist* He was unconscious when admitted to Uie Hospital Inst night, but to-day his condit;]on had i m proved.
