Georgia, who had heen sentenced to death for an attack on a white woman, were granted a month’s reprieve by the Governor of the State to ncTmit the introduction of new evidence. A mob took the negroes from the. gaol ami lynched them. Ihe Governor declared that this act would not go unpunished He has offered a large reward for the arrest of the lynchers.
