SWIMMING.
ADDINGTON CLUB. ’The annual euchre and dance in connec tion with the Addington Amateur Swimming Club was held on Thursday evening in the Selwyn Street Hall. The function was highly successful, and it is gratifying to notice the renewed interest shown I>7/ residents in the club’s progress. During the evening Canon Bean, Patron of tlie club, presented the following prizes:—Mr E. Robson, the Schwartz Cup for the junior championship, and the junior challenge M'Craoken Cup; Mr J. B. Wills, the senior challenge M’Cracken Cup. Trophies were also presented to the Misses Mathesori, Carmichael and Walton and to Messrs O. Joseph. T. Joseph, E. Hancock, W. Manhire. E. Crook, E. Robson and J. B. Wills. The euchre prizes were won as follows:—Ladies, Miss M’Donald. first*. Miss Gardiner. _ second. Gentlemen. Mr Ashworth, first: Mr F. Matheson, second. Consolation. Miss Tyne and Mr Steven.
