PRACTICAL JOKE SUGGESTED. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received BRISBANE, June 3. The Government Analyst reported to the Minister of Mines that a sample of the liquid from the Beaudesert Bore had the same composition as the mixture of kerosene with a little lubricating oil. The Minister said that if a practical joke had been played, it was not oil the part of the owner. A previous message stated : A boro on Dunn’s farm at Beaudesert was pumped dry in tho presence of the Acting-Premier (Mr A. J. Jones). Then the water making in the well was placed in a bottle, and an inch of petroleum rose to the top. giving a strong smell of kerosene. It is regarded as being an excellent sample.
