It is semi-official]y understood that there is a most critical situation ever the draft PYee State Constitution, which the British Government considers is entirely unacceptable because it does not follow the Canadian constitution, as the Treaty provided. SYDNEY, June 2. , The Australian Workers’ Union has issued a manifesto directing the shearers to refrain from shearing except on the basis of the Queensland terms which the Union demands under its fighting policy. The states that the Union considers Mr Justice Power’s recent award unjust and inequitable ; that it had exhausted every possible means to reach an equitable settlement, but 'was on each occasion repulsed by both the Commonwealth Arbitration Court and the Pastoralists’ Associations.
