DAIRY FACTORY MANAGERS.

REDUCTION OF SALARIES. PROTEST RECORDED. (Per Press Association.) HAMILTON. Juno I. At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Dairy Factory Managers’ Association. a strong and unanimous protest was made .against tho attitudv taken up by the Taranaki Employers Union regarding the reduction of managers’ salaries, this being contrary ti tho arrangements made at the conference of tlie executive bodies of the National Dairy Association, the Taranaki Employers' Union and the New Zealand Dairy Factory Managers' As-

sociation at Palmerston North in June. In consequence the industry is confronted with tho grave possibility of tho formation of a registered inudstrial union of dairy factors’ managers. This would bring managers of longer and more valuable experience to the level of those of lessor capabilities, and so Ik‘ a retrograde sten regarding tho quality of New Zealand dairy produce.
