WAR RELIEF ASSOCIATION.
APPLICATIONS FROM OUTSIDERS. (Pm Press Association.) WELLINGTON. May 30. Since the, first of January 173 applications for assistance have been receiv ed by the War Relief Association from Imperial soldiers, including *ll Australians. The total number of applicartions from outsiders is 226, of which 11*2 were received in Wellington alone. 'The committee expressed great concern at the increasing number of men who did not serve with the New Zealand forces. In reply to a question, the • hairman said there was power to deal with such cases, but it was necessary to conserve the funds for our own disabled soldiers. The committee expects to hove 3796 cases to deal ■with this vear.
