FURTHER REDUCTION REFUSED. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, May 23. The y Arbitration Court refused to grant an application by the Waihi raining companies for a greater reduction on the rates of remuneration of workers, principally because negotiations for a new industrial agreement were in progress. The Court urged upon the parties the advisability of promptly renewing the suspended negotiations, and 6Ugg|Bsted a short-dated agreement, or one for a longer term, subject to peri xlical revision in accordance with some basis that may be agreed upon.
