The police have been successful recently in tracking down the perpetrators of warehouse robberies in the city. On Saturday evening, three detectives were returning in a car with a prisoner, nA whose house they had discovered 30,00$ cartridges and two guns, when they saw several men removing cloth from the rear of Craig’s tailoring premises in Sussex Street, into a motor. Reaving their car and the prisoner in charge of the driver, the detectives rushed the robbers. They secured two, and captured a third after a long chase, in which they were twice fired upon by one of the fugitives. They secured £IOOO worth of goods, which the robbers had got ready for removal.
