WIRELESS REPORT. The following steamers are expected to be within range of the undermentioned wireless stations to-night: Auckland. Ruahine. Whangape. Koromiko. Canadian Transporter. Port Denison ; after 12.30 a.m.—Waiotapu, Manuka. Navua, Makura. Awanui.—Moeraki, Waitnarino, Dundula, France. Tutanekai, Rakanoa. Chatham Islands.—Nil. Wellington.—Ngaio, Mararoa, Maori. Paloona, Waipori, City of Winchester, Kaikorai, Wingatui. GERMAN MERCANTILE STATISTICS. For the first time since 1913, says " Fairplay,’’ official statistics are published relating to the German mercantile marine. During last year 242 ships of 509,064 tons were launched form German shipbuilding yards, these figures representing an increase of 44,000 tons (or 18 per cent) as compared with those for 1913. Included among the new vessels were 17 steamers of 72,577 tons fitted with turbines, and 7 motor-phips of 28.577 tone. According to size, there were 40 ships between 4000 and 7000 tons: 13 between 7000 and 10.000 tone; and only one vessel over 14,000 tons. For the time being. Germany has abandoned the building of large ships of the typo of the Imperator. Vaterland and Bismarck. OVERSEA SHIPPING. The Kaikoura is to leave England on Saturday. May 23. for Auckland. Wellington. Lyttelton and New Plymouth. The Port Pirie left Lyttelton to-day for Wanganui. The Piako leaves Lyttelton on Monday for Sydney, to complete discharging. She will later return to New Zealand to load for Avonmouth, Liverpool. Manchester and Glasgow, and is expected to sail for Avonmouth towards the eiul of June. The Woodarra has been delayed at Timaru by rain, and will not reach Lyttelton until to-morrow morning. The Waihemo was expected to leave Newcastle yesterday for Lyttelton with a cargo of coal.
