OBITUARY.
E. KEL LETT, M.P. (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN. May 15. Mr Edward Kellett. member for Dunedin North, who lias been ailing for some months and underwent a serious operation for an internal complaint six weeks ago, died to-night, aged fiftyseven. He is survived by a widow and family of six the youngest five years. Mr Kellett. who was a builder and contractor, was president of the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters and Joiners, and was later organising secretary for live years. He was a mem her of several local and other bodies, including the Dunedin City Council for two years, Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board, Otago and Southland Military Service Board, District Re patriation Board, besides taking an active interest in the work of friendly societies. Mr Kellett was returned to Parliament for the first time at the last general election as member for Dunedin North.
