DAIRY POOL.

VIEWS OF LONDON IMPORTERS.

By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Cable 'Association.

(Received May 13, 10.5 a.m.) SYDNEY. May 12

Five of the principal importers of colonial produce, in a letter to the newspapers, state that the promoter© of the New Zealand dairy pool had no intention of establishing a ring to hold up the price to the consumers. Such an object obviously was unattainable, because the competition of dairy produce from other countries ensured the regulation of prices by the law of supply and demand. The writers are of opinion that the interests of the provision trade are safeguarded by the assurance of the promoters of the pool that they intend to distribute all their produce through the existing trade channels.
