Four men. named Andrew Tait, Johnston (2), and Colvin left Island Bay yesterday morning for Cook Strait, and have failed to return so far. Shipping has been notified to keep a look-out. LATE CABLES. ATHENS, April 20. ■ It is reported that following on an explosion at Monaster, fires started at several points in the town. The j inhabitants took panic and lied to the j woods. The entire town is endangered. It is stated that 30,000 peoplo are homeless. The scene of the disaster is unapproachaole, owing to explosions continuing.
