A meeting of the Rakaia branch of the Returned Soldiers’ Association was held in tho library on Wednesday evening, when there was a fair attendance. Mr D. Brown was in the chair. The principal business of the meeting was to make arrangements for Anzac Bay and the unveiling of the memorial. It was decided to hold a parade on that day in mufti, soldiera to wear badges hut not medals, as many men have not yet had medals issued to them. Messrs G. Hardy, L». Cordner and JBrown were appointed marshals for Anzac Bay. Messrs W. Wendelken, D. Brown and J- Brown were appointed a sub-committee to co-operate with the ladies of the Red Cross Society in making arrangements about the disposal of poppies. There are to be 400 poppies available for sale to the public on April 24. The secretary has in hand a very fine cross wreath made of poppies which w r ill be placed on the memorial in remembrance of -fallen comrades*
