Mile of William Grigg. licensee of the Ashley Hotel of having assaulted Lillian Hooke v and Li 1 ley PlasketL at Ashley on January 30 and M'ith having presented a revolver and threatening to shoot them, were adjourned ior a fortnight owing to the illness of defendant. C ASE ADJOU RN ED A charge against Charles du Moulin of having failed to obey an order of the Health Depaitment to pull down an insanitary dwelling, was further adjourned far a fortnight to enable Mr van Asch, counsel for defendant and the mortgagee of the premises, to submit to the Department a‘proposal to repair the building. MAINTENANCE CASE. William M'Afillan (Mr H. K. Kippenherger) applied for a reduction of an order to pay £3 per week in support of his wife and four children. Mr van Ascii, on behalf of- Mrs M* Mi 11a n. opposed the application, Mhcih Mas refused by the Magistrate. CIVIL CASES. E A. Bailey and F. Beker. churchwardens of the Flaxton Anglican Church (Mr J. 1). Godfrey) claimed from A. T. Quinn £7 10 as rent and possession of a tenement. Judgment was given for £6 los and costs, and an order Mas made by consent for possession of the premises within seven,dayc. Judgment by default for plaintiff was given in the following cases: J. T. \\ itbers (Air van Asch ) v. F. Haneox, claim for £l4 14s and costs £1 10s; Helmore and van Asch v. A. P. Palmer. £1 and costs 11s: Ethel M. Martyn v. John Pearson (Mr Tracey) claim for £ll 2s rent, and costs £2 6s. An order was made for defendant to vacate the premises. James W. Taylor (Mr van Asch) v. W. and R Smith, a claim lor £lO and costs £2 6s. DAMAGES CLAIMED. Thomas Albert Prior and Henry Prior (Mr van Asch) are claiming from Thomas M’Giil Sim (Mr AL J. Gresson) £135 for damages for alleged sheep worrying. The case is proceeding.
