Two more suits, totalling 200.000 dollars. have been entered against- him. Colonel Morrow, former commander of the American Expeditionary Forces in Siberia, telegraphed the Secretary of State. Mr C. E. Hughes, asking for the deportation of Semenoff, and charging him with crimes in Siberia. Senator Borah has declared an investigation will be made. and steps taken for Semenoff's deportation if the charges are proved true. Semenoff declared the Allies- backed him in his Siberian enterprises. A previous message stated. General Semenoff's troubles since ho has arrived in America seem endless. As toon as he stepped into New York he was arrested and admitted to '2Y.000 dollars bail as the result of a judgment for 500.000 dollars obtained in Harbin i (China) by the Foreign Trading Com- | pany whose goods were looted in Si- | beria. Semenoff admitted that owing to the disordered conditions in Siberia anti-Bolsheviks and Bolsheviks alike looted the property of others.
