BOWLING.
RANGXOBA CLUB. The Rangiora Bowling Club held a very largely attended meeting on Thursday ni~ht convened to discuss the best means of improving the bowling green. Various suggestions were brought- forward anil discussed. It was decided that as the season is too far advanced to skim the top and re-grass it, to rake the green with a light harrow and procure a truckload of sterilised soil for top-dressing purposes. A working bee will be heid imm*diately after Easter. It wae decided to hold a pairs progresssiv* tournament t<v dav, commencing at 1 pm- It is expected that thirty-four players will take parL It was resolved to close the green for the season immediately after Easter.
