RESIGNATION OF PREMIER.
MR DOOLEY IN HOSPITAL. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright Australian and N.Z Cable Association. (Received April 8, 11 .5 a.m.) SYDNEY, April 8. Tb-day the Governor, Sir Walter Davidson, will visit the Premier (Mr Dooley), who is in a private hospital, ft is understood that Mr Dooley’s resignation -will be handed in, and that Sir George Fuller probably will be commissioned to form a Ministry early next week. EXPELLED FROM LABOUR PARTY The executive of the Australian I/a hour Party expelled Mr Catts by eighteen votes to thirteen after a stormy meeting. No official explanation is offered, but it is generally believed that the action was prompted by a candid article by Catts in a Sunday newspaper, in which he endeavoured to fix the blame for the recent Labour defeat on the executive. NOT ELIGIBLE. It is officially stated that members of the Catholic Federation and the Loyal Orange Lodge are ineligible to join the T,ahour movement.
