LEWISHAM HOSPITAL.
EFFORT TO BUILD FREE WARD. A garden party was held in the grounds of Jewish am Hospital, Bealey Avenue, this afternoon, in aid of a movement, begun actively some time ago, to erect a wing to the hospital, to be used as a free ward with about fifty beds. A strong committee, representing all demoninations, has been set up. and this afternoon’s garden party was an item in the campaign manned out. The weather was perfect for llio accasion. The function was opened by the Mayor at 2.30 p.m. in the presence of a large attendance.
