SILVER WEDDING.
Mr and Airs AA r . H. Eddy, “Pine Grove,” Dunsandel, celebrated the twenty-fifth anniversary of their wedding cm Saturday last. There were about forty relatives and friends from Southbridge, Doyieston, Springston, Irwell and Little Rnkaia present. After the guests had partaken of th© repast and the cake cut by Airs Eddy, the following toasts were honoured : ‘‘ Mr and Airs Eddj',” proposed by Air Rowe and drunk with musical honours and responded to by Air Eddy ; “ The Parents,” proposed by Air E. F. Kim'ber and responded to by Air A. C. Eddy of Irwell on behalf of Air and Airs AV. H. Eddy; “ The Ladies,” proposed by Air J- Eddy, Ivillinchy, and responded to by Air O- Eddy. A feature of the repast was a deck of the original wedding cake of 25 years ago, which was as good as the first day it was cut. After some recitations and music the quests left early in the evening for their homes. Three cheers were given for Mr and Airs Eddy and the party ended with the sinking of “For He’s a Jolly Godo Fellow.” Air and Airs Eddy were the recipients of some beautiful silver presents.
