BOWLINS.
OPAWA TOURNAMENT. The Opawa Bowling Club's seooud annual progressive rinks competition was held on Saturday afternoon under ideal conditions. Sixteen rinks from seven different clubs took part. Five games each of forty-five minutes' duration, were played by each rink. The following is a summary:— Total Won. Lost. SUMNER v. LEESTON. The members of the Sumner Bowling Club visited the Leeeton green on Saturday. with the following results, Sumner players mentioned first:— Doubles—Brow’n and Newman 11 lost to Purser and Eccleton 17; Wright and Cosset 19 beat Rev Walker and Neave 13. Rinks—Grigp, Cottier. Mathews, tilingworth (skip) 12 lost to Smith. Curran, Wat sou. Eccleton 'skip) 27; Wright, Alexander, Thomas. Middleton (skip) 20 lost to Fissp, Woodard. Clausen. Johnston (skip) 27; Biown, Bates, Dawson. Newman (skip) 26 beat Fomison. Dr Yolckman. Benda 11, Neave skip). 13. Totals—Leestou 2, Sumner 1. SUMNER CLUB. The final of the club championship doubles was played on Saturday, when G. Forrest and H. C. Wilson defeated J. M. B. "'Crawford and W. S. Mitchell.
