BRITAIN AND TURKEY.

CAUSE OF INDIAN UNREST. MOSLEMS ANTAGONISTIC. f)y Telegraph Press Association —Copyright. Reuter s Telegram*. (Received January 26, 8.45 a.m.) DELHI, January 25. Ford Northcliffc, interviewed regarding the unrest, declared that he was shocked at the change in the demeanour of Indians, especially the Moslems, towards Europeans. The Moslem situation was much uglier than the British Press appeared to know, and official, commercial, and newspaper authorities were insistent on the urgency of an immediate settlement which, according to Moderate Mohammedans, was only possible through a change in the British policy towards Turkey, including recognition of the Sultan as head of Islam, restoration of the sacred city of Adrianopl© and the whole of Asia Minor, including Smyrna, to Turkey.
