DOMINI O N CH AMP TO NBH T PP. (Pkr Press Association.) PALMERSTON NORTH. January 25. The annual Dominion croquet '-bampionBhrp meeting commenced here on January 20 if* now in the concluding stages. Fine weather has prevailed throughout. enabling the tourney to conclude earlier than anticipated. Results: Opeu chanur ion shin, final -A. G. F. Ross (Chrißtcbureh) beat S. M Cnllough (Christchurch) 2-0. Mixed double* championship, final Ross and Mrs Murray-Aynsley beat M’Cullougrii and Mrs Maddren 26-18. In the ladies' championship singles Mesdames Tiffen, Hogan. Johnson and Miss G. Bram remain in the semi-finals. The semi-finalists in the mixed doubles handicap are Mrs Clarkson and Coleman. Mrs Perry and Ca ugh ley, Mrs Macrae and Stratton and the winners of the game between Mrs Richardson and M'Cullough and Mesdames Johnson and Murray-A vusley. All uncompleted games were scheduled for to-morrow, but heavy rain to-night probably will cause a post uonement. The annual meeting of the croouet council was held to-night. It was decided to hold the next Dominion championship tournament in Auckland, commencing as near January 20 as possible, and the next Ntortb Island championship in Palmerstop North. The following officers were elected President. Mr R. Cauchlev (Wellington). vice-president. Mr E. J. Ross (Canterbury). Mr C. A. Ferguson (Palmerston North was re-elected secretary.
