Briand. (A recent telegram from Berlin stated on good authority that M. Briand and M. Lloyd George had reached an agreement regarding Germany’s payments. Instead of making yearly payments of two thousand million marks Germany would pay five j hundred millions, and the tax on ex ; ports would remain. Britain would accept the Wcissbaden terms on condition that France accepted the new proposals for the stabilisation of the piark.
