ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
SUDDEN DEATH. The sudden death of John King, □eventy-one years of age, supposed to bo single, was reported to the police this -morning. There are no unusual features about the case. King was at> ono time a livery stable keeper in Timaru. For the past two years he stayed at Harris’s boardinghotase, St Asaph Street, living a sedentary life. He was found dead in his bedroom at 8 a.m. to-day. An inquest will be held. PINNED BENEATH HORSE. (Special to the “ Star.”) ASHBURTON, November 18. Unusual circumstances attended an accident in which Stanley Fowko last night sustained a fractured leg. Fowke was standing near a horse on Mr F. Wallings’s property at Allenton when the animal suddenly dropped dead, pinning Fowke beneath and breaking his leg. Fowke was admitted to the hospital.
