Hull, in stream NEW ZEALAND SHIPPING CO:S LINE. Ruahine. left Southampton for New Zealand ports on November 10. Ruapehu, homeward bound, left Newport News on November 8. SHIPPING NOTES. The Wootton. due to-day from Wellington, is expected to sail to-morrow night on the return trip. The Wanaka. from Auckland and Wellington, is expected on Saturday next. She proceeds south on discharging. The Koranui is expected to-morrow from Auckland, via Wellington. From Lyttelton she proceeds to Greymouth to load for Sydney. The Rama arrived from Tiinaru this morning. The vessel is timed to leave Lyttelton this evening for Wellington and New Plymouth. She will lift Waitangi r.nd Owenga cargo, and sail for Wellington or Friday for the Chatham*. The Wakatu reached Lyttelton this morning. She left Kaikoura last evening rvt 5 p.m. for Lyttelton. It is hoped to dispatch her for Kaikoura and Wellington tomorrow evening. The Kennedy Is expected from Wellington on Thursday to load for Foxton. From Whangarei. with cement, the Orepuki arrived yesterday morning. To-day the vessel will leave for Groymouth. The Kahika has been delayed, and will not arrive here until Saturday to load for New Plymouth, via Wellington. The Katoa leaves Lyttelton to-day for Wellington and Auckland. It was resolved by the Chamber of Commerce at Nelson last week that a deputation wait on the Anchor Company for the purpose of urging that a regular service be established between Nelson and Oneliunga. In moving in this direction, Mr P. C. Ifurst said there had been frequent but irregular running between the two ports. a trade in produce, manufactures, fruit, marble, etc., had been worked up, and the time had come when there should he a regular service, .saving cost of transhipment, breakage, etc. Nelson would gain alto by getting goods from Auckland direct. A regular service between Nelson and Onehunga would mean considerable business. Mr C. Milner also said that there was considerable trade with Auckland, but a drawback was the irregular service. A regular service would be of great advantage to Nelson. H.M.fck Chatham arrived at Wellington from Auckland yesterday. COAL AND TIMBER SUPLIEB. The Karaona arrived yesterday morning from Greymouth with coal and timber. The Whangape is due at the end of the month from Newcastle. The Kini leaves to-day for Pieton. where she will load for Onehunga The Canopus is expected from Westport on Saturday with coal. She will sail on Tuesday with general cargo for Westport. The Kanna should urrivo on Friday from Greymouth. OVERSEAS SHIPPING. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises lhat. the Ruahine left Southampton on November 10 for Wellington and Lyttelton. via Panama. She ia due here about December 24. The Canadian Pioneer ia expected at Wellington from Auckland and southern ports on November 22. The Canadian Pioneer was dispatched from Auckland yesterday for Napier and southern ports.
