The second League football test match, played at Hull, resulted in. a win for Australasia by sixteen points to England's two. The first half of the game was strenuous, the tackling on both sides being deadly, but the visitors showed up better in the exchanges and in passing. The spell ended with a penalty goal to each sido. The second half xvas attractive. play being fast and the visitors aggressive Profiting by their opponents’ mistakes they frequently penetrated tbe English lines and. despite the desperate efforts of England to retrieve tho position, the Australasians added fourteen points, the Home team's score remaining* unchanged.
