PRISONERS SENTENCED.

(Peh Press Association.) WELLINGTON, November 5. At the Supreme Court William Harrington, on a charge of indecent assault on a boy, was sentenced to ecven years’ hard labouur- Prisoner hud been previously convicted lor a similar offence. Joseph Cecil Armstrong, for indecent assault, was ordered to be detained for four vears at Invercargill. James Cain, for theft from the person, received two years’ reformative treatment. Maurico Patrick Duffy, charged with breaking into premises and theft, was sentenced to two years and a half probation. John Sister and Norman Oswald Smith were charged with receiving stolen goods. The former was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment. Further consideration will be given to Smith’s ease on Wednesday Frederick John Smith, for theft of money, received three years’ reformative treatment.
