LEAFY BEAUTY.

PRUNUS ON THE RIVERBANK. The prmms tree. cm the riverbnivk in Victoria Square are very beautiful at two seasons of the year. In the early spring they untold their pink blossoms, which clothe them in a softly radiant loveliness When the blossoms disappear the leaves come—deep brown leaves, with a suggestion of the copper beech. The trees ore now in full leaf, and their deep colouring. Been against th. b ickground of green, lends a quaint charm to the scene. This is only one of innumerable beauty spots in the city of Christchurch.
